Creating a more social and sustainable place for Christ Church Bentinck School

Social value is a fundamental aspect of our work, with all four of our divisions constantly looking to better the local communities that we build in. This ethos aligned perfectly with ISG’s vision to ‘leave a lasting legacy in the communities we work in’ when Michael J Lonsdale partnered with ISG – along with several other sub-contractors – in building a new kitchen space for the Christ Church Bentinck C of E Primary School.

Working alongside ISG and the sub-contractors, the site teams present on various Victoria sites don donated unused materials and installed brand new facilities to create a fully equipped kitchen that includes new worktops, units and kitchen equipment.

Our team helped directly with the tea point install alongside new drainage pipework from the appliance on the tea point, with extending copper pipework to feed the appliances that have been tested, insulated and chlorinated. Drainage pipework was air tested and connected to existing drainage. Our team also provided power to all the appliances in the kitchen.

The school expressed their gratitude, stating that they were “over the moon” with the work completed. The new kitchen will increase the school’s community engagement opportunities and improve culinary lessons.
