With a 100% glazed perimeter, 100 Bishopsgate offers some of the most spectacular views of London.
100 Bishopsgate is a new development of two largely commercial buildings with mixed-use facilities, located on the edge of the city of London’s financial district. Building one is a 40-storey tower with a 100% glazed perimeter offering some incredible views across London. A 7 storey podium joins the main tower’s lower levels, giving it one of the largest floor plates in Europe.
We are providing the full mechanical services shell and core package for this new development. This includes the heating and cooling system, drainage, rainwater and domestic water services, ventilation systems, BMS, and smoke ventilation systems. We were also appointed as lead coordinator for the shell and core services and developed the design using our BIM level two capabilities.
What We Did
As part of the project, we provided the bulk of the mechanical plant and equipment. Spread over plantrooms in three basement levels, an intermediate plantroom on level 6 and two levels of roof plantrooms. The heat rejection plant is located on the roof of the tower – this required the installation of a complex steelwork support system for the cooling towers.
Hoisting operations for the plants and materials to the tower roof were coordinated on site by our in-house logistics team.
