In what used to be a factory for television and a powerhouse of creative broadcasting, the new Television Centre sees the reinvention of this London landmark into a working, living, thriving community.
As part of the iconic Television Centre regeneration, we provided the hydraulic services and in the role of lead contractor, designed the distribution routes for the M&E services throughout the basement areas, subordinate plant rooms and car parking areas.
What We Did
We undertook the installation of the primary heating and cooling plant, forming a district heating and cooling network to the entire estate. This network was subsequently adopted by an ESCO and we worked alongside them to ensure the system met the clients specific delivery needs.
Making Visions a Reality
The completion of the BBC Television Centre forms a vibrant part of the wider regeneration of the White City area, and includes open spaces and landscaping as part of the public realm works.
This cultural and iconic landmark includes a health club, cinema, hotel, private members club, residential accommodation, commercial office space, and retail outlets, which all help to create a brighter future for the west London area.
