Amazons Principal Place stands in a prime location, where the City meets Shoreditch.
London
Project info
Situated on the eastern fringe of the City, the Principal Place project comprised a full mechanical services package and fit out to a 16-storey tower building. This was completed using a ceiling mounted on floor air handling plant.
What We Did
Having used a ceiling mounted on floor air handling plant, both the inlet path to and the exhaust path from the air handling plant was via the building’s façade. Therefore, an extensive amount of specialist design work took place, ensuring compliance with stringent noise break out requirements and façade aesthetics.
The bulk of the plant was located in the basement with condenser pipework and subordinate services routed to the roof. To maximise programme gains the distribution of the vertical services was undertaken using three-storey services modules incorporating pipework, flues, ductwork and cable trays, as well as the flooring system. These modules were pre-assembled off-site and tested for fit and accuracy, before being transported to site and installed.
Making Visions a Reality
Principal Place is a new destination where the city meets Shoreditch. As well as being home to the new Amazon offices, this prime site location also offers nearly an acre of roof terraces, restaurants, shops and a boutique gym.
